Hello everyone!
 
We will be meeting this Monday, August 1st at the Post Office Pub and will hear from our final scholarship recipient, Jack Cormier. Cliff will be running the meeting in my absence. Thank you, Cliff for the assistance!
 
A few announcements, updates and reminders:
 
The Finance Committee meeting scheduled for Wednesday, August 3rd has been CANCELLED. Don and I agree that there is nothing for the agenda. Enjoy the extra time!
 
Lori is looking for pictures from Installation to use our website. If you have any photos, especially the group photo, please send them to Lori.
 
The August Board meeting will be held at noon via Zoom on Monday, August 8th. Please let me know if you have an item for the agenda. The main discussion for the Board meeting at this time is to review our club’s resolutions which Cliff pulled together for us.
 
Thank you to Lori for going through the calendar and creating a spreadsheet with the meeting opportunities for each month. This will help Ann as she works to revive our speakers program. If you have an idea for a speaker, please contact Ann for available dates.
 
In going through the calendar, there are several Monday holidays that interfere with our meetings in this new format that we are trying. At our August 15th meeting, we will discuss the current format and how members would like to proceed. Please come with your thoughts. A survey will also be sent for those who are unable to attend the meeting.
 
 
We will have a booth at the Spirit of Shrewsbury on Saturday, September 24th from 10-4 at the Oak Middle School. Set up will begin at 9am. A sign-up genius will be shared to create a schedule of volunteers for the day. We will sell the remainder of the notecards with photos from around Shrewsbury and have a lottery ticket basket to raffle off. Art and Roy have offered to purchase lottery tickets for the basket.
 
Currently, Art, Stephanie, Sandy, Vanessa, Julie, Lori, Roy and myself are working on the emergency preparedness kits service project. Please let me know if you are interested in getting this project off the ground. A planning meeting will be scheduled in mid-August. 
 
The newly formed fundraising committee of Art, Roy, Sandy, Don and Lauren will be starting up as well. Please let me know if you would like to participate. The meetings will be scheduled based on the availability of those who join the committee.
