We will be meeting at the Post Office Pub at 12:15 on Monday, July 18th for Club Assembly. We have a lot to discuss including:
- Review of budget approved by the board on July 11th
- Update from bylaw review committee
- Date for fall recycling fundraiser – 2 options available: Oct. 16th or 23rd
- Participation at Spirit of Shrewsbury Town Expo on Saturday, Sept. 24th from 10-4
- Discussion about our speakers program
- Creation of a working group to brainstorm fundraising ideas
Please let me know if you have other items to include on the agenda. I am looking forward to seeing many of you on Monday.

Members of the Shrewsbury Rotary Club are invited to Worcester Rotary Club's Peace Pole Dedication Ceremony on July 21 in Elm Park, Worcester at 5:00 PM. It will be at the Peace Pole that we recently installed near the Myra Kraft Memorial Footbridge (parking on Russell St.) Our Peace Pole has the words "May Peace Prevail on Earth" written in the 8 languages most spoken in the Worcester area, and it serves as a reminder to "think, speak, and act, in the spirit of peace and harmony." By the way, Roy will be at our club at noon for the induction of new officers. I couldn't attach our formal invitation here, but please go to our Facebook page to see it. Hoping to see you and members of your club on the 21st.
The Marlborough Rotary would like to invite you and your club members to a Rotary Social this coming Wednesday (7/20) from 5 to 7:30 PM at the Tacklebox Brewing Co. 416 Post Road East in Marlborough. This event will be extremely casual. Come enjoy fellowship over a game of pool, cornhole, or darts. Tacklebox also has a wonderful collection of craft beer and seltzer.
