The club welcomed Dr. Brian Maher and Dr. Lauren Hamm from Shrewsbury Family Chiropractic as guest speakers on April 8th.  Dr. Brian and Dr. Lauren spoke about the benefits of chiropractic and how a chiropractic lifestyle can contribute to improved quality of life and well being. 

 

 

Club members welcomed Melissa Stein and Kim Flaherty from Open Circle Acupuncture & Healing as guest speakers at the April 29th meeting.  Open Circle, located in Northborough, offers a set of Natural Health Services including acupuncture and Chinese Herbal Medicine.  Melissa and Kim spoke about how acupuncture and herbal medicine are used to help relieve pain and promote overall health and well-being. 

 

 

Don't let the chilly weather fool you! June will be here before you know it and so will our largest fundraiser of the year- The Brew Fest! The Host Committee is working hard securing food and beverage sponsors, taking care of the logistics and collecting great prizes for our baskets. At this point, our sponsorship amounts could really use a boost. Sponsorship forms have been emailed to all members and information is available on our club website and the event website www.shrewsburyfoodandbrew.com. Can you think of a local business that might want to become a sponsor? Please confirm with Stephanie or Beth that the business has not been targeted before reaching out. For those businesses that are unable to sponsor at this time, ask if they might consider donating a gift card or an item to our raffle. 

 

At the end of the month, club members will be asked to sell 5 tickets to the Brew Fest. As a reminder, the Brew Fest is on Sunday, June 23rd from noon-3 at Avidia Bank. We will need people to complete the TIPS certification prior to the event. Please let Stephanie know if you are able to become TIPS certified.

 

A sign up genius will be used to organize volunteers- we will need everyone's help to make this day a success!
